Weltrend BOD Sets July 19 as Record Date for Dividends and Appoints the 3rd Compensation Committee

| Hsinchu, Taiwan, June 21, 2016 – Weltrend Semiconductor (TAIEX: 2436) today held a meeting of the Board of Directors today. At the meeting today, the Board of Directors passed the following resolutions: |
| 1. Set July 19 as the record date for its common stock shareholders entitled to participate in distribution of 2015 profits in the form of cash dividend. The ex-dividend date for Weltrend common shares shall be July 13, 2016. |
| 2. Appointed Mr. Gerald Kuo, Mr. Wei-Kun Yeh, and Prof. Chien-Cheng Lin as members of the Company’s 3rd Compensation Committee. Mr. Gerald Kuo and Mr. Wei-Kun Yeh are also independent directors. |
